OAK BUTCHER BLOCK

Customer’s Idea made into a plan.

Making the first straight edge with a skilsaw on an oak slab.

Marking out our next cuts.

Cutting the strips to the desired length.

Stacking our blocks after we cut them to length

Separating each block into groups for easy gluing.

Scraping off dried glue and making it nice and flat.

Bringing over each group of blocks that glued over night to get sanded.

The legs dried overnight and are now ready to lose the clamps.

Legs were sanded down and turned out amazing!

Piecing everything together with the legs for the final gluing

Patching any minor holes around the sides with our food safe putty.

Now we fill the top with our food safe putty.

Once the putty dries we sand off all the excess.

Sanding off the leftover putty after it dries.

The top is looking nice and pretty with no more spots to fill.

Heavy duty locking casters are installed on the legs

The butcher block is finished and ready to be oiled

Applied a few coats of food grade mineral oil
